Maestra's Memo:  "Lunar New Year" is commonly celebrated by families of Asian heritage & culture. It is also referred to as "Chinese New Year" or "Eastern New Year." Unlike Western New Year which happens on January 1st each year, the celebration of Lunar New Year occurs over several days & the dates in which it is celebrated change each year based on the phases of the moon. This is why it is called "Lunar" (Luna is the Latin word for moon).

Consider adding: The book, Dragon Dance, to your order to learn more about the Chinese New Year & how it is celebrated!
