Maestra's Memo: What is an "adapted text?" An adapted text is a version of an original text that has been modified or altered to make it more accessible or suitable for a specific audience or purpose. This can involve simplifying language, adding visuals, or making other changes to enhance understanding and engagement. Essentially, it's a text that has been deliberately changed from its original form
Suggestion: You may also want to consider other adapted versions of Treasure Island that are offered by Maestra Casiano. There is a Graphic Classics version which reads like a comic book available. There is also another version by The Clever Factory using simplified language which is also a chapter book. These make it easier to engage struggling or typically uninterested readers while preserving key elements of the story.
